Fisrt artists line up for NTV's THE MUSIC DAY revealed

NTV's "THE MUSIC DAY Ongaku Chikara" will return this July. As previously announced, Arashi's Sakurai Sho will also return as the overall host of the show, continuing from last year. It will be broadcasted live from Makuhari Messe. As this program aims to connect people through time and space with the power of music, around 60 artists are going to perform during the 11 hours show. The first artists line up for this huge music program has been revealed.

Arashi has been in the top 3 of this ranking for 5 years. The last time they topped this ranking was in 2012, the year after that they placed second. Personally, Sakurai Sho also kept his position  from last year, while Matsumoto Jun was able to climb up from the 25th to the 16th. The other members of Arashi also made it into the top 100.

Arashi surpassed AKB48 in Billboard Japan's ranking for the first half of 2014

Billboard Japan has announced its rankings for the first half of 2014 (25 Nov. 2013 - 1 Jun. 2014). For the first time in 4 years, Arashi was able to take the top spot after suppressing AKB48, who had ranked first consecutively for the last 3 years.

Kanjani 8 to sing the "2014 ABC High School Baseball Fight Song"

Kanjani8 has been chosen to sing the theme song for Asahi Broadcasting Corporation's Nettoh Koshien. Nettoh Koshien is a television program providing a digest of the games of the summer National High School Baseball Championship. Kanjani8 will sing the "2014 ABC High School Baseball Fight Song", which will be used in this program.

The 7 members group Kanjani8 will be having a special late-night variety show on April 14. The program is going to be called "Kanjani7 (関ジャニ7)" and will air at 23:59 on Nippon Television.

Kanjani8's JUKE BOX Tour to be released as DVD and Blue-ray

March 24, Johnny's-net announced that Kanjani8 is going to release their previous concert tour as DVD and Blue-ray.

Starting from last year, November 8, until January 19 this year Kanjani8 was touring around Japan. It is now announced that part of this tour is going to be released into DVD and Blue-ray on April 30.
