Arashi's Pika☆nchi related DVDs ranked in Oricon's weekly ranking

With the announcement about another movie of Arashi's "Pika☆nchi" series, the sales for DVDs related to this series suddenly went up and some of them even made it into the top 10 of Oricon's weekly film DVD chart (06/23~06/29).

Kanjani8 vs Arashi

June 19, during the airing of Fuji TV's "VS Arashi", it was announced that on July 10 they will air a 2 hour special of this program. As guest will be Kanjani8, who are in the same generation as Arashi.

Fisrt artists line up for NTV's THE MUSIC DAY revealed

NTV's "THE MUSIC DAY Ongaku Chikara" will return this July. As previously announced, Arashi's Sakurai Sho will also return as the overall host of the show, continuing from last year. It will be broadcasted live from Makuhari Messe. As this program aims to connect people through time and space with the power of music, around 60 artists are going to perform during the 11 hours show. The first artists line up for this huge music program has been revealed.

Nikkei Entertainment's Talent Power Ranking 2014

Arashi has been in the top 3 of this ranking for 5 years. The last time they topped this ranking was in 2012, the year after that they placed second. Personally, Sakurai Sho also kept his position  from last year, while Matsumoto Jun was able to climb up from the 25th to the 16th. The other members of Arashi also made it into the top 100.

Arashi surpassed AKB48 in Billboard Japan's ranking for the first half of 2014

Billboard Japan has announced its rankings for the first half of 2014 (25 Nov. 2013 - 1 Jun. 2014). For the first time in 4 years, Arashi was able to take the top spot after suppressing AKB48, who had ranked first consecutively for the last 3 years.

Arashi's "Pikanchi" series returns

It was revealed, that there will  be another spin-off movie of "Pika☆nchi", which stars all the Arashi members, 10 years after the second movie of this series. This new movie,  titled "Pika☆★☆nchi LIFE IS HARD Tabun HAPPY" ("Pikanchi Half"), will be the first time in 7 years for the members to star in a same movie together since "Kiiroi Namida", released in 2007. The last time they all acted toghether was for a drama special, "Saigo no Yakusoku", back in 2010.

Arashi in new commercial spot for Puzzle & Dragons

Making videos of Arashi's commercial spot for the smartphone game Puzzle & Dragons (Pazudora) was released.

Nobody knows the title of Arashi's upcoming single

During the opening of VS Arashi on May 22, Arashi tried to promote their upcoming single, which will be released soon. This song is used as theme song for Ohno Satoshi's drama "Shinigami-kun". The title of the single gave Arashi a reason to joke around.

Arashi reveals covers for GUTS!

Arashi revealed the covers for their upcoming single "GUTS!". This single will be released in a Limited edition and a Regular edition. In the cover for the Limited edition they lined up with Ninomiya Kazunari standing in the middle, as the song "GUTS!" will be used as theme song for his drama, which will start airing this Saturday on Nippon Television. Whereas the cover for the Regular edition is a collage of their close-up pictures.

"GUTS!" will be released on April 20. This will be Arashi's second single for 2014. The first being "Bittersweet", which was released in February.

More information about Arashi's GUTS!

As previously reported, the group Arashi will be releasing their 2nd single for 2014 on April 20. The title song "GUTS!" will be used as theme song for Ninomiya Kazunari's upcoming renzoku drama on NTV.

Though the covers for the single hasn't been revealed yet, Johnny's-net has been updated with more information about this single. The Limited edition of "GUTS!" will include a bonus song with the title "Fly", as well as its karaoke version. It will also come with a 12-page booklet and a DVD containing the music video for "GUTS!". The Regular edition will have 2 extra tracks, "Kimi ga Waraeru Yo Ni" and "Love Wonderland". The karaoke version of the 3 songs will also be included.
