2014 will mark TOKIO's 20th year since their debut. Therefore they will be releasing an album titled HEART and on August they will be doing a national tour to celebrate it with fans. Beside that, they fill also participate in an open-air summer rock festival. This will be the first for a talent from Johnny & Associates to do so.
HEART will be a best of album to commemorate TOKIO's 20 year since debuting. The track list of this album will be determined through voting. Each voter can choose 2 songs, 1 single title song and 1 coupling song from either a single or an album. It was also announced that TOKIO will be doing a live tour with the title JRA 60th presents TOKIO 20th Anniversary Live Tour ~HEART~. During this tour they will visit some cities in Japan, giving a total of 12 venues, including Nippon Budokan, where TOKIO made their live debut 20 years ago. The group will embark on this national tour starting August 1 with Saitama Arena as their first stop. They will end the tour at Nippon Budoukan on November 2.
Lastly, TOKIO will be participating in open-air summer festivals for the first time. July 19, the group will be in Hokkaido participating the Iwamizawa JOIN ALIVE 2014 music festival. August 16 and 17 they will perform at the SUMMER SONIC 2014 in Osaka.
