March 24, it was announced that NEWS' Masuda Takahisa will be responsible to cheer for the youths in chasing their dreams in the new midnight program "Mirai Rocket" (未来ロケット), which will be broadcasted by Fuji TV at 24:50-25:20 starting April 18.
The program will be hosted by Wakabayashi Masayasu from the comedy-duo Audrey. It is a semi-documentary show that supports young people in pursuing their dream. The youths will be selected through a "scout" system and supported using a "school-based planning" in the long run. Currently, "Mirai Rocket" is looking for youths who are interested in becoming a stylist for their "Stylist Cram-School", where they will get the oppurtunity to learn from a first-class stylist.
Masuda commented, that he is really happy to be in a regular program and promised hid best to support the dream of those younger then him. He also said that he actually liked how Wakabayashi views the world and is looking forward to spend time together with him. Wakabayashi said "So that this program can fulfill the dream of many youths, I want to liven up this program."
