Oricon Charts for the first half of 2014

The top 3 for the single ranking is taken by AKB48, whose singles sold over a million times. In 4th and 5th place are Arashi's "Bittersweet" and "GUTS!". Over half a million copies of each of them were sold. Their newest single, "Daremo Shiranai", ranked 8th. The next Johnny's group, whose single ranked in this chart is Kanjani8 with their single "King of Otoko!", which made it into the top 10. Johnnys' WEST's "Eejanaika" sold pretty well and was able to place 12th.

Other than the already mentioned groups, SMAP, Kis-My-Ft2, Hey! Say! JUMP and Sexy Zone also were able to place their singles in the top 20. The album ranking is also topped by AKB48 with their "Tsugi no Ashiato". Kis-My-Ft2's best-of-album "HIT! HIT! HIT!" made it into the top 5 with 277,330 copies sold. Sexy Zone were only able to place their album in the 15th place. Johnny's are seen to be strong in the Music DVD ranking. The top 3 are all taken by Johnny's groups. Arashi, who topped the Music DVD ranking for the first half of 2014, even charted 3 of their DVDs in this ranking.
