SMAP and Nakayama Yuma on Music Station

Last Friday, April 11, SMAP and Nakayama Yuma appeared on TV Asahi's Music Station. SMAP performed their newly released song "Yes we are" while Nakayama Yuma sang "High Five", which was released a week earlier. During the opening, Kimura Takuya made clear, that the won't be singing "Arigatou" which they sang for Tamori-san during the grand finale for Waratte Iitomo!.

To celebrate the release of SMAP's 52th single, Music Station prepared a special video. A total of 709 people were asked about their favorite song from SMAP's singles. "SHAKE" and "Lion Heart" ranked 5th and 4th in males's favorite song list. "Joy!!", which was released, last year came 3rd because of its cheerfulness. "Arigatou" was the 2nd most favorited song by the males. Many of them commented, that they were touched, when whatching SMAP performing the song during Waratte Iitomo!'s grand finale.

In the list of favorite song choosen by females, "Shareotsu" and "Arigatou" ranked 5th and 4th respectively. The 3rd favorited song was "Yozora no Mukou". Many praised Kimura's coolness when playing the guitar for this song. "Lion Heart" was choosen as the 2nd most favorited song because of its romatic feeling.
Both male and female choosed "Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana". Some commented that this song is even known by children. The lyrics of this song gave them the feeling to be brave.

SMAP also anwered questions from viewers that were sent through Music Station. One of them asked them about what they usually have for breakfast. Katori Shingo and Nakai Masahiro answere, that they usually skip breakfast, while Inagaki Goro said that he would have something like juice and yogurt. Nakai then asked Tamori-san, what he had for breakfast during Waratte Iitomo!'s grand finale. With Nakai's help, he remembered, that someone gave him mackerel, so he ate it. The SMAP members reacted as if they know, who sent the meckerel to him. Kimura commented 'Ah, really?' Nakai asked more detailed, whether it is the same mackerel he ate, when he was on SMAPxSMAP's Bistro SMAP.

Music Station revealed that SMAP's "Yes we are/Koko Kara" topped the Oricon single chart while Nakayama Yuma's "High Five" placed 4th.

During Nakayama's talk part, he said that though he is a Johnny's, when he just joined he was too embarrassed to wave at female fans. Even now, he can't shout things like 'I love you' to fans. He then asked SMAP members for some advice. Katori Shingo said, that it should be done directly. He gave an example of waving and saying 'I love you' followed by Nakayama imitating him.
