DREAM BOYS back with boxing

A special event was held on June 17 at Tokyo Korakuen Hall to announce the musical "DREAM BOYS", who will celebrate its 10th anniversarry. This musical was started by Takizawa Hideaki back in 2004. The next year KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya took over the main role.

Last year Kis-My-Ft2's Tamamori Yuta played the main role in "DREAM BOYS JET", which was an addaption of "DREAM BOYS". Last year it had car racing as its theme. This year the production will return to the boxing theme. Tamamori will once again lead the play. He commented, that he was nervous to set his foot on the holy land of boxing, just like a real boxer. Also in the cast are fellow Kis-My-Ft2 members, Senga Kento and Miyata Toshiya, Kansai Johnny's Jr.'s Hirano Sho and Nagase Ren as well as Johnny's Jr.'s Takahashi Kaito.

The announcment event was attended by Tamamori, Miyata, Senga, Hirano and Nagase, who were all dressed in black suits. For this event, a boxing ring were placed in the venue. All of them sat in the ring, while being interviewed. For his role, Tamamori started muscle training 2 months ago where he gained 10 inches around the chest and 4kg in weight. He has experienced sparring with his younger brother and added, that he wants to go to gym if he has time.

The production itself is said to have 3 additional new songs. Tamamori hopes, that with the help of the other casts and staffs, they can make this year's "DREAM BOYS" interesting. Hirano, who will play Senga's younger brother, confessed, that he wants to learn aboout beauty from his senior. This led to lughter. He said, "Between the Kansai Jrs., I'm being called gorilla.". So Senga replied, "I'm more like shimpanzee." The two brothers seem to link well with each other.

"DREAM BOYS" will be performed at Imperial Theatre, Tokyo starting September 4 until September 30.
