Waratte Iitomo! to say good bye with a 3 hour special program


Fuji TV's long-running midday variety program "Waratte Iitomo!"will end this March after over 30 years on air. This show, which airs from Monday to Friday at noon for 1 hour, begun airing on October 4, 1982. On April 5, 2002, the show celebrated its 5000th episode, which was certified by Guinniess World Record as "the highest number aired for a live variety TV Show hosted by the same MC", with Tamori being the MC.

On March 31 "Waratte Iitomo!" will have a 3 hours pecial grand finale at night. "Waratte Iitomo! Grand Finale Kansha no Chotokudaigo (笑っていいとも!グランドフィナーレ 感謝の超特大号)" will be aired by Fuji TV at 20:00 until 23:15. SMAP's Nakai Masahiro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi and Katori Shingo, who are regulars in this program will also be participating in the grand finale. Of course Sanada Yuma and Nozawa Yuki from noon boyz, who are featured as the 16th generation of Iitomo Seinentai since October 2011, will also take part in this special program.
